Speaking Silence – Please Listen To The Gaps by Namita Prabhukolwalkar

“tum bacche ho”, “tumhe kuch nahi pata”, “chup baitho” are examples of many statements we say to kids dismissively. We as adults feel we know it all. Through work and stress, we tend to undermine them.

We forget how vulnerable we were as children. Most of us repeat the mistakes adults around us made.

Children don’t go quiet unless something bothers them – maybe something as silly as someone took or gave them a chocolate.

This is exactly why I hope that this reminds you to LISTEN. To listen to their stories, their potential, their experiences and their silence.

They need YOU to be their voice, their strength and support. Childhood is innocent. Let’s vow to preserve it’s sanctity. I’m sure together we can.
